About Talent Corporation Malaysia Berhad

Driving Malaysia’s Talent Strategy, Fostering a Strong and Resilient Talent Ecosystem

TalentCorp was established in 2011 as part of the Government’s National Transformation Policy with a mandate to drive the country’s talent strategy towards making Malaysia a dynamic and market-driven global talent hub.

As a national agency under the Ministry of Human Resources we work to attract, nurture, and retain the right talent and expertise needed to support Malaysia’s journey towards achieving greater economic progress.

Talent is the key enabler to transform the country and TalentCorp is tasked to address current talent gaps as well as fulfil future talent needs. Our efforts to elevate the country’s talent base are built on a foundation of effective partnerships with the Government, industry, and academia, culminating in initiatives that enhance our nation’s talent pipeline, promote talent diversity to drive the Future of Work, and facilitate talent mobility to and within Malaysia. As the focal point on talent matters, we focus on building collaborations and act as a bridge between the private and public sector.

Our work is anchored on 3 Strategic Thrusts:

Optimise Malaysian Talent

Attract & Facilitate Global Talent

Build Networks of Top Talent

In 2021, the TalentCorp Group of Companies was established to effectively perform and achieve the objectives set out in our strategic thrusts. The three companies under the TalentCorp Group are:

Mission & Vision

Malaysia's quest to become a developed nation has led to investments in several key developments.

The emergence of major investments and the brisk advancement of the country’s infrastructure have cemented Malaysia’s stature as one of the fastest-growing economies in Southeast Asia.

The Development Corridors, which include multi-billion ringgit metropolises like Iskandar Malaysia and Northern Corridor Economic Region, have also ensured that the influx of economic activities is no longer centred only in the Klang Valley, but is now spread throughout the nation.

The outcome of rapid advancement is, of course, the increased demand for talent. Malaysia's journey towards developed nation status has consciously demonstrated that the country – renowned for its equatorial climate, cultural diversity, and reputation as a world-class destination for tourists and expatriates – is now a fertile environment for top-class talent to build their careers in.

This is where TalentCorp comes in. As a Government agency that attracts, nurtures and retains the best and the right talent to enable Malaysia to reach its economic aspirations, we are uniquely placed to shape, influence and align policies, and develop demand-driven initiatives – such as the Critical Occupations List – that serve as the cornerstones for Malaysia’s talent policies.
