TalentCorp’s Women Empowerment Month 2023 Supported More Than 6,000 Women Nationwide

KOTA KINABALU, 31 March - Talent Corporation Malaysia (TalentCorp) has successfully concluded its Women Empowerment Month (WEM) 2023 with more than 6,000 women participating in thirteen programmes held throughout the month.

At the closing ceremony held at the Pusat Islam Universiti Malaysia Sabah, YB Tuan Ts. Mustapha Sakmud, Deputy Minister of Human Resources called for all stakeholders to work together in creating a more inclusive and equitable society in line with Malaysia MADANI.

“TalentCorp as a strong advocate for diversity, equity and inclusion is part of the Ministry of Human Resources’ efforts to strengthening the labour market, for a more productive and competitive workforce,” he said.

The event was held in conjunction with the distribution of bubur lambuk to 300 Universiti Malaysia Sabah students, and a Ramadan donation to the Rumah Amal- Kasih Kingfisher including its 30 resident children.

The WEM 2023 curated programmes, aimed at preparing women from all backgrounds to take the next step in their lives and careers also celebrate the achievements of women advocates in Malaysia.

“The TalentCorp’s Women's Empowerment Month highlights the theme "Be Strong, Be Tenacious, Be Kind" which is the aspiration, especially during the holy month of Ramadan,” said Thomas Mathew, Group Chief Executive Officer of TalentCorp.

Also present at the event were Professor Datuk Dr. Kasim Hj. Mansor, Vice Chancellor of Universiti Malaysia Sabah and Mohd. Amril Mohd. Junid, Vice President of TalentCorp Group.
