TalentCorp Drives Malaysia's Future Of Work

25 October 2017

Conference to spark conversation and shape Malaysia’s workforce of the future

PETALING JAYA, 23 October 2017 - Talent Corporation Malaysia Berhad (TalentCorp) will be organising the Future of Work, Workplace, Workforce Conference to address the need for Malaysia to prepare for the future of work. The one-day conference, which will be held on 20 November 2017 at the Shangri-La Hotel Kuala Lumpur, is part of TalentCorp’s continuous effort in enhancing Malaysia’s talent strategy to ensure that Malaysia’s workforce is future-proof.

The conference complements the country’s national initiatives to prepare the nation for the future, such as the National Taskforce on Industry 4.0 and the National Transformation Programme 2050 (TN50).

“The nation is now at a critical inflection point that will shape Malaysia’s future of work. Organisations need to rethink their business models, policy-makers need to think beyond automation, and people need to redefine work,” said CEO of TalentCorp, Shareen Shariza Dato’ Abdul Ghani.

The Future of Work, Workplace, Workforce Conference will see prominent speakers, such as Co-Founder of MIT Initiative on the Digital Economy, Andrew McAfee; CEO and Co-Founder of GoGet, Francesca Chia; Country Head of Public Policy and Government, LinkedIn India, Sehraj Singh; Co-Founder of Colony, Timothy Tiah; Deputy CEO of Employees Provident Fund (EPF), Tunku Alizakri Bin Raja Muhammad Alias; as well as Shareen Shariza, discuss Malaysia’s evolving work, workplace and workforce.

The conference can also help individuals, agencies, and businesses grow and equip themselves with a future-ready talent pool. It is also designed for policy and decision-makers in the public and private sectors; businesses, enterprises and start-ups; academicians and students; and anyone interested in the future.

The Future of Work, Workplace, Workforce Conference is organised by TalentCorp in strategic partnership with Maybank Group, and media partners BFM 89.9 The Business Station and The Edge Malaysia.

Honouring Champions of Diversity & Inclusion

Part of the Future of Work, Workplace, Workforce Conference agenda includes TalentCorp’s annual Life At Work Awards 2017, where four main awards – Best Malaysian Organisation, Best International Organisation, Best Lean Organisation, and CEO Champion – will be presented to the winners. Now in its fifth year, the Life At Work Awards recognises and celebrates employers who champion the diversity and inclusion agenda, as well as work-life integration practices.
