KUALA LUMPUR, 12 June - Talent Corporation Malaysia Berhad (TalentCorp), the Ministry of Human Resources (KESUMA) agency tasked with driving Malaysia's talent agenda, today announced the appointment of a new Chairman and Board of Directors.

TalentCorp’s new Board is led by YB Wong Shu Qi, who assumes the role of Chairman. YB Wong Shu Qi is currently a Member of Parliament for Kluang and a board member of Research for Social Advancement (REFSA). She graduated with a double degree in journalism and political science from the National Chengchi University in Taiwan, and a master’s in public management from the National University of Singapore.

The appointed Deputy Chairman is Mr. Mohd Khuzzan Abu Bakar, who has served with Bank Mualamat Malaysia for over 14 years. He has held various board member and chairman positions, and also served as a member of the Johor State Legislative Assembly from 2018 to 2022.

Minister of KESUMA, YB Steven Sim Chee Keong, welcomed the new TalentCorp Chair and Deputy Chair, and expressed that the newly appointed board members will bring fresh perspectives and innovative strategies to develop Malaysia's talent ecosystem through TalentCorp’s initiatives.

“These appointments reflect TalentCorp’s continued significance as KESUMA’s strategic think tank, dedicated to attracting, nurturing, and retaining the human capital Malaysia needs to thrive in a rapidly evolving landscape shaped by increasing globalisation and the demands of the Future of Work,” he said.

The list of TalentCorp’s Board members, in addition to the Chair and Deputy Chair, include:
