Life At Work Awards 2015 - Voting Begins Today

23 July 2015

KUALA LUMPUR, 23 JULY 2015 – Talent Corporation Malaysia Berhad (TalentCorp) is inviting members of the public to vote for the employers that they see as leaders in helping staff achieve better work-life integration.

Currently in its third year, the Life at Work Awards recognises companies with leading workplace strategies that enable employees to achieve better success in their corporate and personal lives by promoting diversity and inclusion, and work life integration and practices.

The Life at Work Awards is organised by TalentCorp and Towers Watson in collaboration with the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development. Last year’s award winners included Shell Malaysia, Maybank Group, PepsiCo Malaysia, BASF Asia-Pacific Service Centre, Siemens Malaysia and PwC Malaysia.

The CEO of TalentCorp, Johan Mahmood Merican, said, “The Life at Work Awards recognises the commitment and drive of employers towards creating a conducive work environment that promotes better corporate performance by empowering employees through work-life integration. The awards allow us to celebrate the significant progress that has been achieved by companies in Malaysia in implementing forward-looking workplace strategies.”

“From a talent perspective, organisations that have developed work-life initiatives to address the needs of employees see benefits including higher staff engagement, as well as improved talent attraction and retention. Globally, it has been demonstrated that strong work-life policies result in better productivity and business performance,” he emphasised.

The Life at Work Awards 2015 offers five categories: Best International Organisation, Best Malaysian Organisation, Best Lean Organisation, Best New Initiative and CEO Champion.

Entries will be judged by a panel of experienced judges in the area of diversity and inclusion (90%), and shortlisted participants will also be judged by taking into account the public’s opinion through voting. The public vote will account for 10% of the final score.

The judges for the Life at Work Awards 2015 are Azman Bin Mohd Yusof, Deputy Secretary General (Strategic) of the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development; Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Dr Sharifah Hapsah Syed Hasan Shahabudin, President of the National Council of Women’s Organisation; YM Tengku Azian Shahriman, Director, Education and SRI Human Capital Development of PEMANDU; Clare Muhiudeen, Managing Director, Talent & Rewards, Asia Pacific of Towers Watson; and Johan Mahmood Merican, CEO of TalentCorp.

Voting for the awards closes on 9 August 2015. For further information on the Life at Work Awards 2015 and to cast your vote, please visit https://lifeatwork.my/
